Join The Epic Japanese Noodle Fest in NYC This Weekend
JAPAN Fes is one of New York's largest Japanese food events, and it's headed back to Chelsea in April!
On Saturday, April 30th, and on Sunday May 1st, JAPAN Fes is hosting its first ever Noodle Fes in NYC! On Saturday, Noodle Fes will be held in Chelsea on 8th Ave between 15th and 17th street. On Sunday, Noodle Fes will be held in Astoria on Steinway and Broadway on 34th Ave.
This is the first Noodle Fes hosted by JAPAN Fes ever! We expect over 20,000 visitors to come to the event. At Noodle Fes, you can explore and eat your way through dozens of noodles! There will be so many different types of noodles to choose from like Yakisoba, Seafood Ramen, Kagoshima Tonkatsu Ramen, Udon, Glassnoodles, Ramen with cheese, spicy mentaiko (cod roe) pasta, and Jyajyamen (black soybean noodles) among many others !
You may recognize some of the vendors from other JAPAN Fes events such as Moshi (who sells delicious yuzu flavored sodas along with other tasty Japanese flavors), Matcha n’ More (who sells delicious Matcha ice cream and other Matcha related sweets), and the world famous Takoyaki from Karl’s Balls will all be there. In addition, there will be Brazilian food sold by Brazilicious, fried ice cream by Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, sweet cookies by Bang Cookies and many other types of foods and vendors!
With such original and tasty Japanese noodles and other delicious food options, you will feel like you are in a Japanese Spring while walking at the festival.
The team behind Noodle Fes. even hosts a language exchange program that helps teach people Japanese. Every Friday, anyone interested is welcome to join J-Kuru, an NYC group of Japanese language & culture enthusiasts, for an exciting and casual way to practice Japanese and meet new people! Levels range from beginner to advanced. Learn how you can join here.
Noodle Fes is only one of the many JAPAN Fes events being held this year. On Sunday, May 22, the third JAPAN Fes of the year will take place in the Upper West Side on Broadway between 73rd and 74th street. We hope that you will enjoy slurping on Menya Jiro's award-winning ramen, or the saucy yakisoba, or whatever noodles you choose to enjoy!
